Brief
The starting point was an insight: employers who create transparency in how work happens see a direct effect on employee productivity — and monday.com's product is built to provide exactly that transparency. The audience for this idea mattered as much as the idea itself: this needed to land with C-suite customers, who think in terms of organisational value and investment, not product features.
Working alongside the Regional Marketing Manager and Content Marketing Manager, I helped strategise how to present the insight so C-suite readers would see it as a case for investing further in monday.com — not a research summary to skim, but a business argument they'd want to act on.
Ideation & Conceptualisation
Rather than presenting monday.com as a product feature, the Playbook makes the case at the level of a business idea – transparency drives productivity – with monday.com positioned as the way to achieve it. To carry that idea beyond a single document, it became the centre of a small campaign system: a landing page to house it, lifecycle emails to nurture interest, and a webinar to extend the research into a live conversation with real speakers. Each touchpoint was given its own distinct art direction to create differentiation within the campaign: the download experience carries a bold, dark aesthetic drawn from the publication itself, while the webinar shifts to a lighter illustration treatment; different enough to feel purpose-built for each moment, consistent enough to read as one campaign.
Execution
Having helped shape the strategic framing at the briefing stage, I then led creative direction across the agency delivering the work – providing feedback across art direction, visual storytelling, and editorial design to keep the publication accessible, on-brand, and aligned with the insight it was built to prove. That direction extended across the full system – the landing page, the lifecycle email sequence, and the webinar assets, ensuring the two distinct visual registers stayed connected under one campaign idea rather than fragmenting into unrelated executions.
Campaign Continuity
The Playbook wasn't designed as a single download – it was built to extend the transparency-productivity idea across a full customer journey:
Landing page
The download destination, carrying the bold, dark aesthetic drawn directly from the publication.
Lifecycle emails
Built on EmailLove/Figma, nurturing interest from first download through to further engagement.
Webinar journey
A lighter, illustrated companion experience, featuring speakers from monday.com and an external guest brand, extending the research and the underlying insight into a live format.
